How does the recognition of shape and color in an AI affect its choices while producing an iteration of an image?

The machine doesn’t search for anything, unless it’s trained to.

By focusing on the unrealistic, glossy side of the image, I attempt to imagine what would an artificial intelligence produce if it was trained by the contemporary shiny 3D aesthetic and images of nature at the same time, with a sprinke of snapshots from the sci-fi universe.

Nature has the biggest database of strange unimaginable shapes and, exactly as an AI would do, I try to replicate them by giving in to pure cold association in relation to shapes that exist in nature.

A glossy, carefully crafted and “perfect” image is being forced to coexist with the mesmerizing imperfection of the organic.
