BOILER ROOM x P.A.M.

La piattaforma musicale indipendente BOILER ROOM e il marchio di moda australiano P.A.M.“Perks & Mini” hanno collaborato ad un’esclusiva capsule collection per celebrare la passione condivisa per la club culture. La campagna, ambientata per le strade di Parigi, fonde l’energia del dancefloor attraverso la lente distorta di una go-pro. Protagonisti sono gli items essenziali del guardaroba come le t-shirt e calze, risaltati da eccentriche grafiche che raffigurano i due loghi dei brand.

Pharrell Williams è il nuovo direttore creativo di Louis Vuitton Uomo

E presenterà la sua prima linea menswear a Giugno, in occasione della fashion week parigina.

Dopo l’immensa eredità lasciata da Virgil Abloh, scomparso a novembre 2021, Pharrell Williams è tra quelle eclettiche personalità del mondo dell’arte ad avere l’energia stilistica giusta e una forte contaminazione estetica per poter condurre un brand prestigioso come Louis Vuitton in una nuova, memorabile era.

Le vendite con Abloh al timone della Maison, in particolare dalla pandemia, sono salite alle stelle, perché l’idea dello streetwear ibridato nel mercato del lusso ha attirato l’attenzione di molti nuovi acquirenti. Pharrel, il cantante e discografico statunitense, considerato uno dei più grandi produttori dell’età contemporanea sa bene come creare dell’hype nel marketing grazie al suo profilo poliedrico che va dalla musica al design, passando appunto per il mondo del fashion.

Oltre ad aver collaborato con Chanel ai tempi di Karl Lagerfeld, con G-Star RAW, Moncler e Diesel, nel 2005, insieme a Nigo, attuale direttore creativo di Kenzo, Pharrell Williams ha fondato il marchio streetwear Billionaire Boys Club e la linea “Icecream”. Ma soprattutto, ha collaborato con Louis Vuitton già in due precedenti occasioni. La prima nel 2004, quando ai tempi la maison era guidata da Marc Jacobs, con l’intento di realizzare una nuova capsule di occhiali da sole. La montatura si chiamava “Millionaire” e anche questa ha visto il contributo di Nigo nella realizzazione. Per la collezione SS 2019, Virgil Abloh li ha riproposti come “1.1 Millionaires” per omaggiare Pharrell.

Nel 2008, invece, il nuovo direttore creativo è stato protagonista di un sodalizio insieme a Camille Miceli, l’allora jewelry consultant del brand. La “Blason collection” vedeva gioielli reversibili come anelli e bracciali adornati di pietre colorate.

È uscito il libro di Nike “No Finish Line”

Con una prefazione di John Hoke, Chief Designer Officer del brand e alcuni saggi di Sam Grawe, l’autore di “Nike: Better Is Temporary”, “No Finish Line” celebra i 50 anni di design e innovazione rivoluzionari del brand dello Swoosh.

Ma non solo, il libro volge lo sguardo anche al futuro. Con l’obiettivo di ispirare la prossima generazione di atleti a creare un mondo migliore attraverso il design e lo sport, il volume definisce cinque importanti cambiamenti che il mondo del design potrebbe subire nei prossimi decenni.

“Gucci Cosmos”: i modelli più iconici della maison in mostra a Shanghai

La mostra sarà un evento itinerante che vede come prima tappa Shanghai, precisamente il West Bund Art Center e sarà visitabile dal 28 aprile al 25 giugno.

“Gucci Cosmos”, curata dalla teorica e critica della moda Maria Luisa Frisa, cade in concomitanza con il 102esimo anniversario della casa di moda, con l’obiettivo di “condurre i visitatori in un affascinante viaggio che abbraccia passato, presente e futuro”.

L’allestimento a spirale, ideato dall’artista britannica Es Devlin, vedrà otto mondi immersivi in cui saranno esposti gli items iconici della maison, oggi conservati all’archivio della casa di moda fiorentina. Saranno esposte le creazioni realizzate a partire dall’epoca di Guccio Gucci fino a quelle ideate dagli ultimi direttori creativi del brand Tom Ford, Frida Giannini e Alessandro Michele, per ricostruire i momenti storici che hanno segnato il maestoso heritage di Gucci.

New York Fashion Week FW23/24: i brand da tenere d’occhio

AYAMA STUDIO

Il brand ha debuttato tra le presentazioni della NYFW presentando una collezione rilassata che privilegia l’essenzialità e la funzionalità dei capi. Interessante è la scelta dei colori molto vasta che predilige le sfumature dei colori primari blu e rosso. Pizzi leggeri e organza plissettata si mescolano con tessuti sportivi, pelle e morbida nappa delineano le silhouette geometriche dei capi.

Per questa stagione, la designer e fondatrice del brand Conley Averett ha voluto giocare su un’estetica concettuale nelle forme ma sperimentale nella scelta dei colori. Anche questa collezione ha visto la maglieria protagonista. La maggior parte dei capi sono realizzati su misura per abbracciare al meglio il corpo attraverso toni neutri e delicati abbinati a vibranti blu e sfumature marroni.

Zimo si propone come ponte tra passato e futuro. Antiche tradizioni e usanze asiatiche che stanno andando perdute si rimescolano all’immagine di una New York ipermoderna, alle visioni contemporanee di un brand che sta portando lo streetwear fuori dalla monotonia. Interessante è l’utilizzo di elementi deadstock ottenuti da capi nightwear e biancheria di seconda mano.

BOILER ROOM x P.A.M.

Independent music platform BOILER ROOM and Australian fashion brand P.A.M. “Perks & Mini” have collaborated on an exclusive capsule collection to celebrate their shared passion for club culture.

Set on the streets of Paris, the campaign, blends the energy of the dance floor through the distorted lens of a go-pro. The protagonists are the essential wardrobe items such as t-shirts and socks, highlighted by eccentric graphics depicting the two brand logos.

Pharrel Williams named new creative director of Louis Vuitton Menswear

He will present his first menswear line in June during Paris Fashion Week.

After the immense legacy left by Virgil Abloh, who passed away in November 2021, Pharrell Williams is among those eclectic personalities of the art world who have the right stylistic energy and a strong aesthetic contamination to be able to lead a prestigious brand like LV in a new, memorable era.

Especially since the pandemic, sales with Abloh at the helm of the house have skyrocketed, as the idea of hybridized streetwear in the luxury market has attracted the attention of many new buyers. The American singer and record producer, considered one of the greatest producers of the contemporary age, knows well how to create hype in marketing thanks to his multifaceted profile that ranges from music to design, passing through the world of fashion. In 2005, in addition to having collaborated with Chanel, G-Star RAW, Moncler and Diesel, together with Nigo, creative director of Kenzo Pharrell Williams founded the streetwear brand Billionaire Boys Club and the line “Icecream ”.

Above all, he has already collaborated with Louis Vuitton on two previous occasions. Nike releases “No Finish Line” book

With a foreword by John Hoke, Chief Designer Officer of the brand and some essays by Sam Grawe, the author of “Nike: Better Is Temporary”, “No Finish Line” celebrates 50 years of revolutionary design and innovation of the Swoosh brand. But not only that, the book also looks to the future. With the aim of inspiring the next generation of athletes to create a better world through design and sport, the volume outlines five important changes that the world of design could undergo in the coming decades.

“Gucci Cosmos”: the new exhibition in Shanghai of Gucci’s most iconic models

The exhibition will be a traveling event around the world that sees Shanghai and the West Bund Art Center, as its first stop. It will be open from 28 April to 25 June.

“Gucci Cosmos“, curated by fashion theorist and critic Maria Luisa Frisa, coincides with the 102nd anniversary of the fashion house, with the aim of “leading visitors on a fascinating journey that embraces the past, present and future“.

The spiral installation, conceived by the British artist Es Devlin, will see eight immersive worlds in which the iconic items of the maison, now kept in the Archive of the Florentine fashion house, will be exhibited. The items created starting from the time of Guccio Gucci up to those conceived by the last creative directors of the brand Tom Ford, Frida Giannini and Alessandro Michele will be exhibited, to reconstruct the historical moments that have marked the majestic heritage of Gucci.

Highlights from New York Fashion Week: what to keep your eyes on

AYAMA STUDIO

The brand made its debut among the presentations of NYFW presenting a relaxed collection that favors the essentiality and functionality of the garments. The very wide choice of colors is interesting, with a preference for the shades of the primary colors blue and red. Light lace and pleated organza mix and matched with sporty fabrics, leather and soft nappa leather outline the geometric silhouettes of the garments.

For this season, the designer and founder of the brand Conley Averett wanted to play on a conceptual aesthetic in the shapes but experimental in the choice of colours. This collection also saw knitwear as the protagonist. Most of the garments are tailored to best hug the body through soft neutral tones paired with vibrant blues and brown undertones. Warm-toned brown pants were paired with red tank tops for an eye-catching yet comfortable color scheme, while cooler blues and beiges paired in an understated yet eye-catching way, just like Averett’s studio.

The brand Zimo proposes itself as a bridge between past and future. Ancient Asian traditions and customs that are being lost are mixed with the image of a hypermodern New York, with the contemporary visions of a brand that is taking streetwear out of monotony. That’s interesting the use of deadstock elements obtained from second-hand nightwear and underwear.
